I feel blessed to have found Ron Schnaufer to build my home. I had a 1971 Rutenberg home that I owned for 24 years and it needed a ton of renovations. After consulting with Ron, we decided financially and structurally, the best thing to do was to knock it down and start all over. I spoke with several other builders, however, after checking Ron's references, I decided to go with Westshore Homes and could not be more pleased. I needed someone I could trust because I lived 300 miles away and would not be there very often to oversee the progress. I was fortunate to have neighbors that kept me informed, along with Ron that I spoke with at least once a week. My neighbors said he was there almost every day making sure things kept moving with the contractors. When something wasn't done right, he had them redo it. He treated my home like it was his own, and it was done in less than a year, on budget with high-end finishes and quality work. Anyone that comes into my home asks who the builder was because they are amazed at the quality and construction. For years I only heard horror stories about building a new home in Lee County, but I can honestly say if you choose Ron to build or renovate your home, you will not be disappointed. He is honest, dependable and takes pride in the work he does and will go above and beyond to make sure you are totally satisfied. On a side note: My home and my neighbor's home were knocked down the same day. I've been in my home for 6 months and he may not be in his for 3 or 4 more months he said. He has said more than once he wishes he would have met with Ron before he went with his builder. I think that says a lot about Ron and his dedication to getting the job done in a reasonable time frame, and on budget! If you do your homework and read the testimonials on his website, you will understand the type of person you will be hiring to build or renovate your home! Top-notch all the way!

We want to express how grateful we are to have worked with Ron Schnaufer and Westshore Homes and Renovation for the remodeling of our Fort Myers home. Ron was able to see my vision and truly understand the style and look that I hoped to achieve, and then build upon that with an attention to detail that’s rarely found in the building trade. The project included a complete demo and reconstruction in the kitchen and laundry room, two bathroom remodels, removing and opening walls, and the installation of sliding patio doors. We were living out of state throughout the project, but all work progressed smoothly. Ron kept me apprised of progress throughout, and we chatted every day or so to work out details, discuss alternative approaches, and to assess progress and timelines.
Ron’s professionalism and desire to make sure that every aspect of the project was done correctly made the process run smoothly and provided us with the assurance that the project would be a success and that the completed renovation would be what we hoped for and so much more. Cannot say enough about Ron, owner of Westshore Homes and Renovations. Feel we won the lottery by choosing him as our builder. His attention to detail is second nature and has made our building process fun. He has a lot of experience and it shows. He's always available and is tremendous help in eliminating stress that often accompanies the building process. His ability to strategically stage a custom built home has been the biggest blessing. From moving the dishwasher to better accommodate convenience to eliminating closet doors as a way to create more workable space are just a couple to mention ... Mistakes are inevitable when building however having a professional eye that is able to catch and correct quickly is vital to help create a smooth building process for the customer. During our building process we had a tornado go down our street causing significant damage to just about every home ... Our structure was virtually untouched. I credit this to the high quality material used and thorough workmanship. Ron even hired a private inspector who was more thorough than the one provided by the city. Ron exceeding all expectations. Our home is more beautiful than ever imagined! Not only beautiful, but also convenient and well organized. Choosing Ron was the best decision we made. He really helped us understand where to spend money to make the biggest difference and enhance the quality, the living and investment of our new home. We cannot thank him enough! He is the best!

Lynne and I just wanted to send you a note to say a big Thank You!! What you did to our house was nothing short of amazing. You turned a 1978 built house into a showplace that we now call home! Where do we start? Everything that you have done is worth a compliment! I asked you to build me a bar and with your design ideas, you surpassed any expectation that we had. We have never seen anything like it anywhere. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail are second to none. We have shown our friends pictures and the reviews are all the same, WOW!!! We are still getting compliments from our open house. Your idea to eliminate the hallway to give us a larger and more open kitchen area was brilliant. What a difference your ideas have made. Our kitchen should be featured in magazines! It is so large and open and brings both ends of the house together. Just as with the bar area, the kitchen drew a lot of WOWS!! Another feature for a magazine would be the master bathroom. What a difference and what a way to make that wing a true master suite. It looks awesome! The cabinets and granite in the other two baths make a huge difference as did your re-make of the fireplace. I don't want to forget the garage, laundry room wall, and outdoor storage area, as all add value and uniqueness to our home. Ron, it is hard to do a remodel long distance. But with you, everything was just as you said it would be. Your eye for detail and the fact that you personally supervised every aspect and every contractor that worked in our house, gave us a very secure feeling. You are truly a man of your word and a genius at what you do. On both your business card and brochure the phrase "Exceeding Expectations" is featured. Ron, without question, your work vastly exceeded our expectations. Both your work and professionalism greatly surpass any previous experiences we have had with builders and remodelers. We thank you for making a 1978 house our dream home. We could not be happier with the way it turned out. Westshore Homes and Renovation remolded my kitchen and helped me to see how a redesign of the kitchen would be more efficient. Had to redo some of the cabinets so they would fit better and have the look we both wanted as you entered the front door.
This could have been a real disaster if Ron had not known what he was doing. Ron is a very efficient and knowledgeable person. I worked for a builder for many years and never have I seen a more competent person. He also installed bathroom cabinetry for us and was prompt to come back on a call back adjustment. I left the house while he was doing the work and felt very comfortable doing so. I would highly recommend Westshore Homes & Renovation for any building or remodeling job. We have full intention of having him do more work for us. To give you a example of his thoughtfulness, He came to adjust a cabinet door and my front door was rubbing on the frame when it closed and so Ron fixed it for me at no charge. Very honest and workmanship of a very high quality.

Westshore Homes and Renovation remodeled our master bath and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final product. We were concerned about making such a large investment at our age and in such an old home. However, we really wanted a bathroom that finally reflected modern standards and accessories.
Ron Schnaufer, the owner of Westshore Homes and Renovation, sat with us and listened to our impressions of an ideal master bath and made countless suggestions about design, features, and materials. He also understood our design to tightly manage the budget and he presented us with a detailed contract with all the fees clearly stated.
The prices were fair and the finished product exceeded our expectations. Ron’s workers were always at the house by 8:00 a.m. They always completed their daily assignments and cleaned up their work materials prior to departing.
We hired Westshore Homes and Renovation to upgrade a smaller second bathroom because we were so pleased with the master bath and our entire experience. The second bathroom now has a nice spa feeling. His work included a new jetted tub, marble tile, new vanity, mirror, light fixture, etc. Ron even recommended installing a pocket door that helped eliminate some of the space constraints. We always appreciated his contributions to design and alternative solutions when our preferences weren’t always practical.
